On Monday, the court was told phone records and information recovered from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently asking Madeleine's mother for a biological test throughout that period.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a family holiday in Portugal - is one of the most publicized investigations and remains unresolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

Another voicemail, played in court, captured Ms Wandelt declaring: "I realize I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine was, but I know what I believe."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone expressed: "Suppose there is a tiny probability that I'm her? What then? Wouldn't that be significant for you?"

"I don't want money, I possess a living here in Poland, I just want to understand," the message continued.

The jury was advised that via emails, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt asked for a biological test, forwarded childhood photos to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "memories" from a early life with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an investigator with law enforcement who collated the evidence, advised the court there "didn't appear to be any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to family friends of the McCanns, according to the call data.

On October 9th, 2024, Mr McCann picked up a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt recorded a voicemail on Mrs McCann's voicemail saying "I will persist and I intend to demonstrate my position."

Court proceedings
Kate and Gerry McCann testified to the court from protected by a protective barrier on Wednesday

The court heard Mrs Spragg established a association through digital means with Ms Wandelt preceding assisting her on a trip to the McCanns' home in the county in that winter.

Phone records showed Mrs Spragg had contacted using WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had characterized Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she deserved to be treated respectfully in the months before the trip to that location, the county, in last December.

The court learned correspondence between the two individuals, in November 2024, discussing endeavoring to obtain Mrs McCann's genetic material from her bins or from silverware at a eating establishment.

"We have to make a stand," Mrs Spragg informed Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their residence, the defendant sent a text which expressed: "We're currently positioned outside the McCanns' home with our headlights off similar to private investigators. I had hoped to achieve this with another person I never thought I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The proceedings ongoing.
